An evolving series that beginning ten years ago, that encourages us to look at others through our own soiled and clouded lens. Small towns, cities, race, bank account balance, shoe size; these can describe us all. People are people are people. We all share fear, love, mediocrity, allergies, self-esteem issues, etc... To separate ourselves or believe we are so vastly different than our neighbour is unnecessary and ignorant and only increases the distance between us, ultimately tearing humanity to shreds. Resin covered photographic prints mounted on wooden panels.

Core is coming!

We are renovating the space. On the First Thursday of December, Core members donned white suits (Devo style) and took down the walls of the existing space.  During Gallery Walk, Eric Ostrowski set up a projected installation and performed outside with his son Ian and Daughter Hazel.
We're in the process of rebuilding. We built "the monolith" one large wall on the ground. Its movement into place took five (brave) people and a little persuasion. The new wall will float above the ground on the south side of the room.  A new floor plan, new drywall and a new lighting system is in the works. Stay tuned.

Core Community Show: Urban Artworks

Part of Core Gallery's mission is community outreach. In keeping with that goal, Core is hosting a show of work created by Urban Artworks, a group which empowers young people with proessional opportunities in the arts.
